Notes:

Discussed the issue of kayaks (non-motorized boats) needing a sticker the same as motorized boats.
  • Brought up:
    • Why punish those who want to get exercise
    • Some people own 4 kayaks and never fish
    • Some people do fish from kayaks
    • Suggested one price for all vehicles (water or land) per lot.
  • Voted: Those in attendance voted in a landslide to not have stickers on Kayaks
  • Next Steps: Need to bring it up to the owners whom created the rule in the first place
  • Determined that Stickers still need to be purchased for all Kayaks this year.

Fireworks

  • Brought up:
    • why spend $5k of LTA funds on fireworks
    • Throw a party instead
  • Voted: No fireworks display this year in favor of a July 2nd all member party
  • July 2nd Member party
    • Potluck at the Pavilion. Dinner will be served from 5:00 to 7:00. The Association will be furnishing the meat. We ask that you bring one or more side dishes to share. We are still looking for volunteers to serve and clean up. Contact Lisa K at lot# 37

Discussed a number of upcoming events: Kids Fishing, Darkside Beerfest, etc..
